About me

Writing Services is the trading name for Anita Holford, a writer/communications practitioner based in Monmouth, south Wales.

I started my working life on a local newspaper, and went on to work in a music venue, eventually becoming Marketing Manager.

I began to specialise in written communications while working for Sound Sense, the UK development agency for community music, and set up Writing Services in 2000.

Since then, I've contributed to specialist publications, consumer magazines and regional newspapers, and have

created newsletters, reports, books and publicity materials for a range of organisations.

I've also managed communications, marketing and media campaigns, and carried out consultancy work in the areas of communications, music education and community arts.

This site includes descriptions of my services as well as short descriptions of past work with images and pdfs.
